Moonstone (orthoclase) is a semi-translucent stone from the feldspar family of minerals. Albite crystals within the stone create a shimmering glow known as adularescence. It was very popular early in the 20th century, extensively used in Art Nouveau jewelry.
As a healing stone, it enhances intuitive sensitivity, relieves anxiety and stress and reduces the tendency to over-react emotionally.
