Calcite is composed of the same material as limestone: calcium carbonate. This transparent to opaque mineral can be found in a variety of colours when it is charged with impurities. Calcite is used to help clarify vision, as well as clean toxins from the body and reduce stress 

The pieces can measure from approximately 1.5 to 2.5 long. The pieces will vary in shape also - some are rounder chunks while others are flatter and thinner pieces.
