Amethyst Pendant

Amethyst is the purple variety of quartz crystal, containing traces of iron. It is thought to dispel negativity and create a peaceful environment. As a healing stone it is said to be helpful in ridding nightmares.

In ancient times it was thought to reduce the effects of alcohol due to its similarity in colour to red wine. Amethyst is found in Canada, South America, Africa and India. The stone can be cleaned in fresh running water.
